Bachus & Schanker Help Build Habitat for Humanity House
On August 9, 2012, a group of 10 Bachus & Schanker employees replaced business suits with work clothes and joined Habitat for Humanity in constructing a house for hardworking local people in need of decent, affordable housing. The men from the Bachus & Schanker team helped shingle a shed roof, built shelves in the bathroom, and cut trim for the windows. The women helped paint the house’s interior as well as completing other jobs around the house.
“It was a great experience. We all enjoyed the opportunity to help out in the community and be a part of seeing a disadvantaged family’s dream come to fruition,” participant Fatima Maynard commented.
